Join the students of Reframing the Ordinary for this lecture and introduction to Shils’ intensive seminar centered around looking, feeling, and drawing as a part of our everyday lives. This lecture is the introduction to the class and will consider questions like: how do I see what I don’t know is there?

Artist Talk: Fran O’Neill

Fran O’Neill joins us to talk about her journey as an artist. O’Neill will speak about aspects of her personal studio practice, such as her progression through figuration, landscape, and abstraction.

The ritual of making on a daily basis can deepen the creative process and cultivate strength and momentum in challenging times. Artist Amy Wynne will speak about her evolution as a maker and the bravery she has built in the face of the unknown through her commitment to daily practice. Wynne will speak about her search for authentic expression while witnessing and interpreting the bittersweet beauty of everyday life. Her dance with ambition, distraction, risk taking and gentleness will resonate with so many of us as we search for ways to express truth through our work.
