Friendly, professional part-time worker needed to manage 700+ membership program of regional arts organization and general office administrative duties. These include assisting with building rentals, gallery sales, some exhibit prep and educational program assistance. Strong computer skills in MS Office in both Mac and PC platforms, Exceed Premier database, and QuickBooks preferred. Self-starting, clear verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasker, familiarity with non-profit organizations; background in arts a plus.
Three to four mornings per week with one Saturday per month required; some flexibility of schedule needed. Additional duties will include online and phone ordering of supplies, answering phones, preparing mailing lists and managing member mailings, plus general office duties as needed. Associate degree plus 3 to 5 years in non-profit sector preferred.
Experienced bookkeeper wanted for one to one-and-a-half days per week. Responsibilities include posting all income and expense entries, end-of month general ledger maintenance and reconciliation, prepare bank deposits, monthly reports, process weekly accounts payable entries and generate checks. Participate in annual audit and manage the audit work papers.
Administer and Maintain:
•Accounts receivable (sales, classes and workshops, memberships, annual appeal donations, entry fees)
•Accounts payable (vendors, bulk mail, reimbursements, oversee payroll service)
The posisiton requires at least two-years experience with QuickBooks Pro, MS Office including Excel, and famiarity with non-profit accounting practices; Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.
