Hola!Thirteen members of the Concord Art Association joined artist, Robin Paine, for an exciting ten-day trip to Oaxaca in southwestern Mexico, February 9-19, 2006. Here, they share with us the colors, textures and sights of their trip, from jaunts to pre-Columbian Monte Alban to shopping sprees in town markets, in between, they visited the rug-weaving town of Teotitlan del Valle and also had the opportunity to learn about Zapotecan cooking. But, most importantly, they received the undivided attention of award-winning artist/educator Robin Paine who lead them through daily, three-hour sessions of artmaking and critiques. Throughout the week, they sent new photos of the trip as it unfolded. |
