Castello di Spannocchia, Siena, Italy (TRIP IS FILLED)
June 25–July 4, 2011
All Levels
We have reserved twelve spots for seven days of painting at Castello di Spannocchia, an amazingly beautiful agricultural estate located a few miles southwest of Siena, Italy.
Castello di Spannocchia, a center for education and enrichment programs, is a painter’s paradise surrounded
by 1000 acres of the most beautiful Tuscan landscape. Artists will be housed in eitherthe Villa or Fattoria – each with its authentic Italian character. All meals are home cooked with the freshest ingredients and seasonal vegetables
and herbs from the garden. Each evening we will enjoy
a four-course dinner with wine reflecting traditional Tuscan cuisine.
You will paint en plein air everyday in one of the many spectacular painting locations at Spannocchia. There will be a half day trip to San Galgano, a nearby chapel and monastery, and Chiusdino, a true Tuscan hill town. We will also visit Siena for a full day and see its old historic center and architecture, and the surrounding Chianti countryside.
Imagine yourself surrounded by beauty everyday, enjoying wonderful food and wine in the company of fellow artists, and receiving superb instruction. The trip includes all airport transfers (to and from Spannocchia), hotel accommodations for eight nights, all meals with four-course dinner with wine every night (except Saturday), day trip transportation, and painting instruction. Airfare not included. Space is limited to twelve and will fill quickly.
An information session on the Tuscany trip will be presented on Wednesday, October 6 at 12:45pm. More info can also be found on the Castello di Spannochia website.
