TRIP IS FILLED; WAITING LIST ONLY
Do you love France? Love to travel? Would you like to paint the experience with a group of fellow pastel artists? Join pastel artist and instructor, Jeanne Rosier Smith and trip coordinator, Michele Kenna, for an eight day plein air pastel workshop in the heart of Provence.
We will be staying in the beautiful Hotellerie de l’Abbaye de Saint Michel de Frigolet located on the site of a 1000 year old abbey, 15 kilometers from the city of Avignon and 7 kilometers from Tarascon, an ancient fortified town on the Rhone between Avignon and Arles. We will be close to many wonderful places to paint: Arles, Nimes, Les Baux, Sain
t Remy, Beaucaire, and the Camargue. The Alpilles mountain range and the Luberon are only a half hour away.
We will paint the abbey situated in a glorious
landscape setting and also take excursions to
different French villages and towns and explore
the surrounding countryside, planting our field easels
at a moment's notice, while never passing up an opportunity to absorb the local flavor and traditions. Every moment of your trip will be filled with the French experience.
The cost will include 8 nights lodging at the Abbaye St. Michel de Frigolet, full breakfast everyday, transport to painting sites, individualized instruction, and round trip transport to the hotel from Marseilles airport and back.
